The brief was to launch Dubai Retail as a brand.

What we made was something closer to a love letter to the city.

Dubai Retail is the unified brand behind more than 40 of Dubai Holding's malls and lifestyle destinations: from Ibn Battuta to Bluewaters, from JBR to Palm West Beach. Over 13 million square feet of retail, dining and lifestyle, all under one name.

Set to Charles Aznavour's Emmenez-moi, a French classic about the longing to be taken somewhere wonderful, the film follows a beautiful woman moving through Dubai the way only someone completely at home there can. A waterfront at golden hour. The unhurried luxury of a pool club. The energy of a market, the electricity of the night. Every corner of the city, every mood it's capable of, all wrapped in a bow of choreographed movements that makes the entire film feel like a modern day fable.

And then, at the end, all of it comes together.

The people she crossed paths with at the pool, on the street, at the mall, the Souk, are all there waiting at Bluewaters. She dances and lets herself go in a whimsical, a little hypnotic, kind of ending that shouldn't work but does completely. We pull back to an aerial of the Bluewaters complex and the beautiful Dubai Eye, with Emmenez-moi's notes carries it all the way out.

No voiceover. No product message. Just Dubai, every version of it, gathered in one place, at the end of a perfect day.
